Full description:This museum's collection includes religious art from Częstochowa and the surrounding area, created in various periods and bearing a certain artistic, as well as historical and cultural significance. Some of the sculptures worth mentioning include a Virgin Mary with Child from about 1430, statues of Christ and figures of saints, such as St. Martin of Mstów from around 1500 and a beautifully th wrought St. Joachim from the mid-18 century. Among the paintings there are mainly works representing saints close to the Polish spiritual tradition.
